What was the highlight of Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa

Beautiful family friendly hotel close to promenade and local facilities, a little way from resort

Excellent reception staff. We arrived fairly late but still managed to have dinner. The very friendly receptionist left the completion of check in until after we had eaten. Layout of restaurant area was very well planned . Design of bedroom corridors made whole area very quiet and private.. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious although the design of the hand shower attachment made it alnost impossible to use without it being demonstrated. Lifts were attractive and there were more than enough. Location is some way from the centre of Roquetas but with a good bus service and right on the promenade.

Although food was of good quality with plenty of choice, I would like to have seen more fresh fruit and artisan bakery products.. Also more meat and fish cooked to order. The hotel was primarily geared to all-inclusive. We were half board and sometimes felt like second class citizens. We had family staying at the hotal at the same time as us but we were not able to join them at a meal at the Asian restaurant..

Highly recommend this hotel for alround relaxation

My wife and I thought the staff where exceptional and will to go out their way to help. The room was always cleaned very well. The pool and all amenities where always well look after and to a high standard. We both really enjoyed our stay.

There really wasn't much we didn't like.

Clicking AC

Lovely and clean with good facilities,staff were brilliant and the all-inclusive was very good. However the rooms do not have that 5 star standard

AC when switched off, clicked every minute non stop. requested a room move cost extra 250 euros as moved to one bed apartment and disconnected bedroom ac. Was told that every room has this problem with clicking, never experienced it before.

Great place to stay and enjoy food. The drinks are not so great

Excellent facilities and very clean. Staff were friendly and professional. The food was great.

All the drinks were a poor quality. All spirits used were not the standard brands. The staff had no idea about any cocktails. Really disapointed

Great hotel! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful location. So peaceful but a lot of infrastructure around - cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Beach is perfect, very wide. Great hotel with everything you need to have a fab rest.

Nothing. Maybe, a little more communication/information about half board rules. Very little information and we had to find out as we went along, therefore paid almost €6 for 2 half glasses of Fanta at dinner.

Although it’s far from 5 star it’s a good 4 star hotel. Very clean and most staff are friendly The hotel is on the beach which is lovely

Only the fact that it’s a race to reserve a sun bed by the pool. The hotel has signs up asking people not to but not enforced.

Good

We were lucky to have 2 rooms, where one room had jacuzzi and terrace with sun loungers, as sun loungers near the pool get taken early in the morning. Also, pool loungers or area around them might be dirty, as people keep having ice creams, sweets/lollipops, even tho food is not allowed there. And sometimes we had to clean loungers from melted lollipops or chocolate before using them. The rooms where nice, beds very spacious and comfortable. The rooms cleaned daily. We had only half board, but it was nice to find out that mini bar drinks in the fridge were included (they weren’t replaced, but there were enough for us anyway). Staff were very nice and helpful. Location was great. There are public bus stops close to the hotel. And we found plenty of different shops and good cafes/restaurants in the area. The pool was great, my son really enjoyed it. Also, it was a big plus to have a basketball/football pitch, kept the kid active during the stay and he met some new friends.

The hotel needs some renovations. Jacuzzi didn’t work properly, as some of the water jets weren’t working and they looked dirty inside. Bathrooms need cosmetic fixes, also fan in double room bathroom didn’t work properly, the steam condensed on the ceiling around one of the lamps, and then water was dripping on top of us. Pool water could be a bit warmer. My son enjoyed it anyway, but the rest of the family were in the pool only couple times, as we found it too cold. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, it’s hard to find what to eat, especially during breakfasts and especially for vegans. I was really bored of the same food/breakfast for the whole week. For dinner it was easier to find something different. I don’t see the hotel as a five star hotel ????‍️

The location i felt was a deprived area and had man-made features to provide a produce. Lots of lorries plastic rubbish and ramshackle polytunnells. It didn't feel spanish

Space; clean and well presented, throughout.

It’s a bit tired and in need of some remodelling. The Asian restaurant experience was very disappointing; food service very slow and tables not cleared. The one aspect of our stay that really let everything else down.

Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was amazing. We had a superior suite with Sea view and hot tub. It was hard to leave the room it was that nice. Plenty of tea and coffee provided. Shower gel etc. Dressing gown and Slippers. Pool was lovely, and looked amazing lit up at night. Unfortunately, didnt manage to get to use the Spa during our short stay.

Although the hot food buffet was lovely food, it could have done with being a lot hotter although there was a microwave to heat your food up.

Overall decent mid-size hotel, we enjoyed out stay

Breakfast was consistently good, lots of options to choose from. Evening meals, similarly, generally good with various options.

Coffee at breakfast was not to my taste, either delivered to the table in a pot, which was too strong, or dispensed from a machine which was, unfortunately, sweetened. Evening entertainment was not exactly optional as it was loud enough to drown out tv or conversation in the hotel bedroom. One evening our table was cleared, including our unfinished drinks, while we were selecting desserts from the buffet.

Great facilities, location and friendly staff

Only issue I had was I booked a room with 1 large double bed and I got a room with twin beds. When I asked at reception I was told there was nothing they could do as hotel was fully booked. Not acceptable when I was able to book 1 large double bed at time of booking.
